Staður

Breiðholt is a large southeastern district of Reykjavík, Iceland, known for its diverse community and as one of the most populous areas in the city, with around 20,000 residents. Originally a farm dating back to the 10th century, it was developed into a residential area from the 1960s onward to address housing shortages. The district is divided into three neighborhoods: Neðra-Breiðholt, Efra-Breiðholt, and Seljahverfi. Hanna Katrín Friðriksson, an Icelandic politician, grew up in Reykjavík, which includes Breiðholt.
