BSRB, also known as the Icelandic Federation of State and Municipal Employees, is the largest federation of public worker unions in Iceland, established in 1942. It represents over 23,000 members across 19 affiliated unions, primarily campaigning for the rights and interests of employees in the public sector, including state, local government, and some private market roles. BSRB plays a significant role in collective bargaining, negotiating wage agreements, and advocating for improvements in the welfare system and labor market equality in Iceland.
