Breiðdalsheiði is a locality and heath in Fjarðabyggð, East Iceland, with an elevation of 470 meters (1,542 feet). It is known for being part of Route 95, which traverses an ancient, eroded volcano and connects Breiðdalsvík to Egilsstaðir. The area is also home to a monitoring station that provides real-time weather and road conditions, often reporting impassable conditions due to snow or ice, especially during winter months.
