Birkir Bjarnason is a former Icelandic professional footballer who played as a central midfielder. He is the most capped player for the Iceland national team, with 113 appearances. Bjarnason notably scored Iceland's first-ever goal in a major international tournament at UEFA Euro 2016. He has played for various clubs across Europe, including Adana Demirspor in Turkey, and was nicknamed "Thor" due to his appearance.
